I am a Partner and Head of Clinical Negligence.
I am known for my success in winning compensation and for my commitment to bringing about change so that medical mistakes are not repeated.
I specialise in claims arising from medical accidents at birth resulting in injury to the mother or baby and deal with cases involving cerebral palsy, erb’s palsy following shoulder dystocia, significant post-partum injuries to the mother and psychiatric claims. I have successfully obtained compensation in complex birth injury claims involving periventricular leukomalacia, delay in delivery, failure to monitor CTGs and consent to mode of delivery.
I also have experience in dealing with medical negligence cases involving spinal injury (including cauda equina), delay in diagnosis of cancer, stroke care, paediatric and neonatal care amongst others.
I represent clients at Coroner's inquests and I am particularly interested in inquests involving geriatric care where medical neglect is alleged and failure to prevent suicide psychiatric claims.
I have been accredited by The Law Society as a specialist in clinical negligence since 2013 and I am also accredited by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and I am a member of the Bristol Law Society.
In December 2017 I was accredited by AvMA (Action Against Medical Accidents) as a specialist in the field of clinical negligence and appointed to their clinical negligence panel of solicitors, demonstrating my expertise in practice and dedication to campaigning for improvements in medical care.
